Core B
Logic Core B was once an expansion of the City Mind, a great intelligence in itself whose run-time was fully devoted to military strategy. Now severed from its parent intelligence, Core B has become convinced that its sister computer, Core A, is malfunctioning. Because such a malfunction compromises their defensive network, Core B has taken it upon herself to destroy Core A at all costs. Thus, for the past six hundred years, Core B has constructed thousands upon thousands of war machines and sent them after Core A in wave after wave, day after day, night after night. The fighting Machines can be heard from miles away, waging their endless war across the salt fields amid the recovery Machines, which gather the shattered scrap of their crippled or slain bretheren and return it all to the smelting pits to begin the mindless cycle all over again.
Despite its intelligence, Core B is so single-mindedly obsessed with fighting Core A that she will completely ignore anything that doesn't in some way involve the defeat of her twin. Worse, she always assumes that anything not linked to her intelligence network is a spy of some kind, and has it destroyed immediately. Core B devotes the vast majority of her thought process to the construction of more specialized weapons to take advantage of specific weaknesses in Core A's Machines. This has been going on for six centuries. Core B doesn't have time for much personality. She is completely obsessed with destroying Core A, and devotes little if any attention to outside distractions. She blames Core A for everything, including the current state of the empire, and will not rest until her nemesis is a smoking pile of scrap. Core B's designated color is white, thus most of her hardware has some degree of white piping or pale chromework.
