I see that character X hasn't logged in for 52 weeks! Can I have their name?

You may not claim another character's name unless that character is deleted in a MUCK-wide character purge. Wizards will not purge inactive accounts on a per-request basis.

You may notice some people seem to have been inactive for very, very long periods of time. Why aren't they purged? The purge script checks to see if anything the character owns is in use. It checks the timestamps of the character's rooms and objects. If a character who hasn't logged in for 2 years owns a room that
was last used two weeks ago, that character will not be purged.
