Home > Search FAQ What is a 'MUCK client' and why is it so important? MUCKs are accessed via the standard telnet protocol. The protocol is not very user-friendly. The administration does not recommend trying to use 'raw telnet' to access Tapestries. Please investigate a client program for your particular operating system. The wizards recommend that you select a client that works well with MUCK (or MUSH, which is similar enough) and which includes ignore/gag features.
See the link on this page for a website that gives a nice list of clients.
