Away From Keyboard (AFK)

Away From Keyboard or AFK is literally what it sounds like. The person who is AFK is not at their keyboard or is otherwise not going to see or respond to messages sent to them.

On MUCKs the term idle is commonly used in it's place, referring to the idle time listed in many of the programs on the MUCK.
