Favorite Sketchbook Art

Some people find that a quick sketch can be much more expressive than a technically perfect piece of artwork. Sketches also show some of their artist's underlying techniques. Be sure to look through the Sketchbook Grab Bag if you like what you see here, since it's got lots more.

Background Critters

This is a clearer image of the critters that now populate the background on these pages. They're scanned rough pencil sketches with a little digitally airbrused color applied.

Stickfox Meets Filty Cat

As the title says... Stickfox meets Filty Cat.

The Navigator

An archaic astral navigator drawn with brush on Nepali paper in one of Guppy's strange sketchbooks.

Crink

This is a ferret acrobat in a painful position. This one was a collaborative effort, inked by Ashryn.

Tiger in Bathrobe

Three poses of a smug-looking tiger in a bathrobe.

Nice Boxers

This picture is supposed to be a study in musculature, but the only comment I get about it is "Nice Boxers".

Festive Roo

What a festive kangaroo!

Cecilia, Two Sides

There's that skunk again.

Stripe Demo

A quick Fractal Design Painter 5 sketch done for Bearclaw to show exactly how the stripes go on my character.
